Religious services are frequently made possible by the large number of lay leaders at Congregation Shaarey Zedek. With the assistance and training of clergy, members have learned to lead services, chant torah and haftarah, and serve as Cantorial Soloists.
Members are strongly encouraged to inquire about the following opportunities to participate more actively in services:
Shaarey Zedek Choir
The choir is an active part of High Holiday services, and they are called on as needed for special events.
Yad Squad
Members of the Yad Squad have chanted 100 lines of torah.
Saturday Morning Leaders
The Saturday morning minyan relies on lay leaders nearly each Shabbat.
